My teenage daughter had always wanted a puppy, but we didnโt want the long term commitment. My 97 year old grandmother had just lost a yellow lab and knew it was unrealistic to get another dog. Raising a puppy for Hero Dogs seemed like a win win for a veteran and my family.โฃ

It inspires me every day to see how the Hero Dogs staff, raisers, puppy sitters and other volunteers work together to support the dogs and each other so that each dog can reach his/her true potential.
