Nope, he’s not a tiny pup anymore, Hero Dogs Captain has entered Phase II /Advanced Training.
Hero Dogs Captain misses his raiser family, but is excited to continue training to become a service dog for a veteran or first responder with a disability.
𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞/𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲/𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝: Hero Dogs Captain Richard B. McCurley/10-14-2018/Golden Retriever
𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐲: squeaky rubber chicken (but I love stuffed animals too!)
𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐧: “Come!” “Find It!” or “At Ease” 😊
𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: Lidl US Express (especially during the summer because we’d go in the middle of my long morning walk and it was nice and cool in there!)
𝐅𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐃𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: Getting pets—could get pet for an entire hour without tiring of it. If only people would be willing!
𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐃𝐨𝐠𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: Having to “Leave It” (especially if it’s food but sometimes even tissues are hard to resist).
𝐀 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐤 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬: I love getting eye rubs, I love to feel tall (like standing on the porch overlooking the world below or standing on the steps halfway up and looking down on my raisers), being happy to walk into the comfy cone and I even slept in it for a while even though there was no medical reason to do so.
𝟑 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐞:
1) cute
2) fluffy
3) awesome!!
