1) Cultivating patience. Just like children, one day they do everything wonderfully and enthusiastically. You think โWow, what a great dog, this is the most perfect puppy of all time. Is that really ๐ฎ๐บ puppy?โ The next day (or even the next hour), they seem to lose their hearing, and you briefly ponder selling the puppy to the first person who comes by.โฃ
2) Letting them go.โฃ
๐ช๐ต๐ ๐โ๐บ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ: Michael is a veteran, and comes from a family of other people who served. Although none of his family were disabled veterans, he remembers people he served with who werenโt so lucky. If our puppies can make their life easier, or enable them to do things they felt they couldnโt do, then the time we spend is well worth it. And, on a personal note, we have learned a lot about how to raise and train dogs. The Hero Dogs staff has been amazingly supportive and is teaching us the right way to train a successful Hero Dog.โฃ
