This month was all about anticipation for the puppy swap! Mixed emotions from everyone missing me, of course, to everyone being so excited to have Hero Dogs Kirby. The kids were scheming to try to keep both me and Kirby (they thought if they called me Kirby for a week that Jennifer and Becca wouldn’t know who was who and let them keep both of us… someone pointed out that Kirby is a boy and I’m a girl!) But back to the puppy swap later…
April was somewhat rough; Laura learned 2 big lessons about me: 1. Just like kids; even though you’ve done something a million times, you still have to be vigilant and 2. Just like kids; when I hurt, she hurts. I had an upset stomach in April. My first one and it was not fun! I couldn’t eat for 12 hours!!! Rough, Ruff!! But I weathered through and kept having a great time.
This month I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond, (see my picture checking out mouthwash… I felt like I had “Kibble Breath” that day…). I’ve been to doctor’s appointments, dentists, hardware store, barber shops, restaurants, tractor supply stores, pool stores, and pet stores. I was going to go to the school musical but it’s during the puppy swap. Speaking of… I’m excited to check out Hero Dogs Tahoe’s place (puppy swap)!
I know the kids stayed up and waited for Kirby after the puppy swap (it was past their bedtime). When Kirby walked thu the door everyone was staring at him and he looked at everyone then slowly cocked his head and that did it! The kids thought he was adorable. That’s Kirby’s “look!” I decided to sneak out of Hero Dogs Tahoe’s place to take a picture of him with the “look” so you can see (check out his photo)… just kidding… I teleported!
