Playtime for Hero Dogs Sadie

January 8, 2018 By Admin

What can I say- Life is good, I spend a lot of time playing, although not much where I can just let it all hang out.

I’ve been to many stores, and outdoor markets- there are so many smells, but P usually has some kibble in her hand so if I sit quietly I’ll get something for behaving- the pet food stores are the hardest as EVERYTHING smells appealing- hardware stores are fun too, but I get pretty tired out by all the stimulation.

I do like my naps either in the kennel or on ‘my place’- which used to be the other dog’s bed!

Going to P’s work is great, I greet everyone with a ‘touch’ and then get a treat, there is one person who is my best friend, he sits in a wheelchair and helps me work on my ‘sit’, ‘wait’, ‘down’ commands- I also now am friends with one of the firemen at the station, just down the street and he wears this big suit and helmet.

The Christmas tree was a challenge, but I got it that the hanging things were not for me.

Ozzie will play with me now, at least when we are out in the field and I am on the long lead- we run in circles chasing each other, I am faster but he seems able to spin around pretty fast.

Then we went to the beach- which was great- I loved it- but not the water so much- there was snow too- and that was totally fun- it was a long drive, but I seem to sleep just fine for hours in the car.
