Wow, my first month in my new home went fast. I have been to the VA many times, been in a parade, and went to the beach, a birthday party, a BBQ (yum), and an open house at Wagging Tail Portraits. I have also been helping out around the house and going to stores. My partner wants me to keep this short because she wants to tell you some things too, so I will turn it over to her.
Hi folks, this is Ethel, the very grateful veteran who is Maverick’s partner. I wanted to tell you all what a difference Mav has made in my life. My days are easier to get through now that he is here. From the first moment I wake and see his silly grin to lights out with his head resting near mine, Maverick has supported me, helping me get out and about, making me laugh, lending a paw around the house. My life is better since Maverick.
To all of you people at Hero Dogs, from Jennifer to all of the kennel helpers, puppy raisers/sitters, volunteers, sponsors, ALL of you, Thank You so much!! What you have done, and are continuing to do each day, has made my life better, and the lives of other veterans who will be partnered in the future. I am in awe of you all.
I hope to meet many of you at the Hero Dogs open house on June 15th and thank you personally. I am humbled and honored to be the recipient of this marvelous dog thanks to all your efforts.
