Hero Dogs Radar on MSNBC

July 31, 2011 By HDadmin

July started out as a FUN month because I got to go to New York with Ike, Jennifer and Ilene to be on TV. I dont know that much about TV, but Jennifer and Ilene seemed excited. I had a long car ride which wasn’t really fun, but I got to sleep. Things smelled different and not all were good. I stayed in a hotel for the first time which was pretty cool. We rode in an elevator! I liked the elevator but was bummed I couldn’t hit the buttons like Ike could.

At the TV place everyone was very nice and smelled good. I was a little nervous with all the excitement (sorry everyone), but Ike seemed pretty calm. He got to pick up things while Jennifer talked to a nice lady. Later Ilene and I joined them, but I didn’t get to pick anything up. I did get some nice hugs. I thought I did pretty good. Alison said she will teach me how to pick up things so I can be a star like Ike.

The rest of the month was boring after my BIG city debut, but a good boring. We went on lots of walks and every Saturday went down to the boat. I like the people at the marina. They oh and ah over me. Alison doesn’t let me talk as much with them because I get too excited and lunge on the leash. She wants me to heel and sit when people come to say hello. I dont like it, but I am trying. Sometimes it is just too hard and I have to get up to wiggle.

I still am not too good getting on and off the boat, but once on I really like it. I am big enough now that I can look out over the side. Doesn’t look like much to me so most of the time I just rest and wait for fish. Steve doesn’t seem to catch a lot of fish, but that’s okay. For fun Alison and I will play with the hose on the boat. I always get a nice walk when we get back. Steve has to clean the boat so we just try to stay out of the way. Every body marvels at how big I am getting!
