Please pardon my paws on being tardy this October. October was another great month. Part of my training is going to Puppy 2 class, which is always fun because of all the treats that Pal gives me. During the last class we had the “Puppy Olympics.” Pal and I brought home the gold medal for musical chairs for four-legged friends. Pal laughed and laughed as we found an open chair.
My first Halloween was an enjoyable time as Pal and I pretended to be surfers. I particularly enjoyed being on her surfboard. Pal was proud of me for not eating her bag of treats.
Pal and I and of course Buddy went to the Kensington Fire Department’s open house. It was awesome! There was even music. Pal, Buddy, and I practiced walking and being in a crowd of people. I did a demo, with some of my Hero Dogs friends, of how I can pick up keys. I did well, or at least Pal and Buddy said so. Pal put on a firefighter outfit and some of the gear. I was very good, but she looked very different to what I am used to. Next we went inside an ambulance; it was very crowded inside but I did not complain. I also went onto the very end of the fire truck. It was a little hard to get up, but once I did Pal praised me and I was happy. We also went through the fire house and station. I had a nice time but was happy to go home.
Pal has been teaching me new words, such as place, stand stay, and platform. Pal’s school day is going more smoothly now that I am learning place. The rest of my adventures this month were all very ordinary, such as going to the store. Kona and I still roughhouse a lot. I am still growing, even bigger than Kona, but I’m still as cute as a puppy – at least Pal thinks so.
I am looking forward to my next adventure with Pal and Buddy.
