January was a new and exciting month. I was a little confused the first time I went outside into the cold, wet, white, fluffy stuff. It was so deep I could barely move. After a short minute, I quickly took to the snow. Pal said I looked like a reindeer, running, jumping and playing in the snow. Pal and her sisters made a big igloo. I enjoyed climbing on top of it. Also, one of my dog friends came over and we played together in the snow. Kona and I enjoyed running and making paths all through the backyard. I have decided I like snow.
This January I went to the grocery store. It was fun, but I’ve been there many times. I also made the rounds to Tuesday Morning. I found it nothing out of the ordinary as I waited in line, meeting new people. Pal also brought me to an indoor swim meet. It looked like a huge water bowl that I wanted to play in, but I just sat there and waited. The swim meet was followed by dinner at a restaurant. I like meeting Pal’s friends; she is always proud of me.
I had a new adventure at Bradley Hills Elementary School with some Hero Dog Friends. During the assembly there, I was on the stage showing the children some of my skills. I hope one day I will use them to serve my Veteran. I totally enjoyed being with the children before and after the assembly, although I was a little excited.
Just as a special treat Pal, Buddy, and I went to Fuddruckers Restaurant. Now you’re talking hamburgers and some great smells. I was wishing to get one of those big juicy burgers, but was content with the kibble Pal gave me.
I found myself with new dogs this month as I moved into the “Big Dog” class. I like it fine and am learning new skills such as “go,” “back,” and always working on “wait” for a longer period of time.
All in all, January was a great month.
I can’t wait for another adventure with Pal and Buddy.
