Things have not slowed down for me at all in February. I started the month off with a visit to Robin’s friend Mary Christine’s house for her annual Mardi Gras party.
The midshipmen from the Naval Academy came to Mary’s house to help celebrate. They loved having a dog to pet, and I loved giving hugs and kisses to all of them. Like me, they will be doing a very special job one day. There was so much good food, but I know my manners and I don’t beg or jump up on the table to try and get anything to eat. We spent the night there in the “Maryland” room.
We also had the opportunity to go to the Hero Dogs fundraiser at the Waredaca Brewery. It was my second time there. Many of my fellow Hero Dogs showed up, too, with lots of people supporting the fundraiser. I was perfect, lying under the table out of the way so no one would step on me. I showed my skills to some folks who are considering volunteering for Hero Dogs. I hope they become puppy raisers or kennel helpers. But there are also lots of other ways to volunteer.
At the end of February, Robin is going away and I can’t go with her, so I’m going to stay with Suzanne. I will have so many new places to go with her, and she lives in a big city, so it will be a great experience for me. I’m sure you will hear all about it next month!
