I have been going on some outings this month to places I have visited before, where I just need a little more practice. I went to the post office and waited in a really long line. I was very patient while Lisa tried to figure out the self-service machine. A very kind postal worker came to help us, and I practiced STAND and STAY the whole time. I didn’t move at all!
We also went to the grocery store a few times, and we even went to a coffee shop. I practiced more STAND and STAY at both of these places. I also met some very nice bicycle police officers in the parking lot. I wasn’t so sure about their big bikes, but they were friendly and let me approach. I really wasn’t that interested in the bikes after all!
This month I also had my first experience with a home visit for possible new puppy sitters and raisers. I wanted to play with their dog but instead I worked very hard on SETTLE. The visit was very interesting because they had a really big fish tank with lots of fish and colored lights. While I was waiting patiently, I just looked at the tank and followed the fish. It reminded me of the Baltimore Aquarium visit last year.
Thanksgiving was at the end of the month. This was a nice holiday because the whole family had more time to come with me on long walks. I didn’t get any turkey or pie, but I did get some ham pieces because I was a very good boy.
Well, next month is winter and I sure hope it snows. That’s my favorite!
