Gracie’s Journal – November 2012

November 30, 2012 By blog-editor

Happy November! Anyone ready for some football or turkey?

This month I started some extra training with Becca, I am so glad she is back! I go to live at the Hero Dog Kennel in January and Robin wants to make sure that I am already. I am going to miss the family and Jake & Marley and I know they will miss me. The good thing is my buddy, Scotty, will be going to the kennel with me. We are really good friends. We have known each other since we were just pups.

I went to the mall this month for training. Robin got into a wheel chair and we practiced going in the doors and out of the doors. That is pretty tricky! I even put my paws up to hit the blue button on the wall. There is a wheel chair on it and it opened the doors! I got lots of treats for that one. We went into this glass elevator. I didn’t like that at all. Robin and I went up and down the big stairs, but not the ones that move. Miss Jennifer said we don’t use those. It’s a good thing too, they made me nervous! After training Robin and I did some shopping. We walked around Macy’s, we had some ‘Girl Time.’  There were some people that were afraid of me. Robin told them who I was and why we were there. I don’t know why anyone would be afraid of little old me! I’m only 1 year old and I love people. Robin says I have a ‘wiggle butt’; whenever I meant new folks, I wiggle a lot.

The family went away for Thanksgiving. My Nana came up and stayed with me and the other dogs. She knows all the Hero Dog rules, so Miss Jennifer said it was okay. Thanksgiving is such a good smelling holiday!

On Sunday afternoons it’s football day here. There is lots of good food and lots of cheering. Robin is a Ravens fan and Mark is a Redskins fan. I don’t know which team I like best, I just like my snacks, frozen pumpkin! Yummy!

That’s all for now, see ya next month!
