Gracie’s Journal – December 2012

December 31, 2012 By blog-editor

Happy Holidays from Gracie!"Hero Dogs" Gracie

This month I have been busy. I went to Rockville Town Center with the other Hero Dogs. We walked around the city of Rockville. We went to the library and even pushed the blue buttons to open the doors. There was a strange staircase that we all walked up and down. Scotty and I rode in the elevator together. You know you have to be very quiet in the library, and all of us dogs did a good job, no woofing! We watched the ice skaters and practiced not eating stuff off the floor, which is pretty hard for me!

I have continued my extra training with Becca and Robin thinks I am doing well. Alex and Kyle have been working with me a lot too. We practice Say Hello, Lap, and Take It.

Mark and Robin gave me and the other dogs our Christmas bath. We all got our ears and teeth cleaned and our toenails clipped.  We took lots of Christmas pictures too! I had my very own Christmas stocking and Santa Paws brought me some new toys and snacks!

On Christmas day, Jake, Marley, and I got a little bit of turkey and green beans in our food. Yummy!

I have been saying good bye to the neighbors and my friends at Pet Valu. This is my last month here with Robin, Mark, and the boys. Next month I report for duty at the Hero Dog kennel. I know it will be sad to leave, but I won’t be alone, my friend, Scotty, will be with me.  It’s like I am going away to college. I hope they have good snacks! Robin promised to send me with a care package. They said Robin and the boys can come visit me.

Happy New Year!
