Holy milk bones, people… how about that Snowmageddon??? It was the best thing ever!!! Snow was everywhere and it was all mine for the eating, but for some silly reason my Veteran didn’t want me eating it. I couldn’t help myself ’cause it tasted so good when it touched my lips!!! Of course, all my walks sounded like a broken record of only two phrases, “leave it” and “get busy.”
My Veteran and I have been studying and practicing non-stop over the past couple of months for our tests, which greatly paid off. We passed with flying colors! Now I’m following in my brother’s (HD Franklin) paw-steps as I prepare for my K9 college graduation.
My two-legged brother, Caleb, and I have been having a blast playing “Caleb where?” There is no place he can hide that I can’t find him and let my Veteran know. We did have a “misunderstanding” a couple of weeks ago with his Panera Bread grilled cheese. Apparently when he put it on his TV tray on the floor, it wasn’t meant for me… oops! Just like snow, it tasted so good when it touched my lips!
Besides that, I’ve been a perfect angel… OK, maybe I’m exaggerating a wee bit. I’m still working on my flaws, like not reacting to other service dogs while I’m working. Just today, we ran into three service dogs while we were at Walter Reed, and I didn’t say a ruff. My Veteran and I played “look and watch,” which gave me a chance to check out the girls. There was even a cute gray pitbull, who couldn’t take her eyes off me and kept whimpering at me. That’s right people, I’m a stud and I know it!
