Wow, February was a great month! I went to the Baltimore Aquarium. It was very crowded. Some people were excited to see me and say “hello.” The person I liked meeting the most was a Veteran. He liked hearing about Hero Dogs, and Buddy gave him a card. Pal, Buddy, and I saw a 3-D movie about sea monsters. I have to admit that it had loud noises and I did not like it, but I tried my best to behave.
We also went to Chick-fil-A, a yummy restaurant with delicious smells coming from everywhere. I did my best to lay down patiently while Pal ate. She would give me a treat when I was good, and I would look up at her with kind, loving brown eyes and thank her. Pal, Buddy, and I all went home to enjoy a relaxing evening.
I went to Pal’s sister’s school in February. The school was big and it had stone steps out front that were fun to climb. The building was full of long hallways with classrooms. Then we went to the lunch room. All the students there were so happy to see me and Pal. It made us both feel very special. Pal looked down at me and said with a smile, “I love you, Munro.” She gave me a kiss and I kissed her right back.
February brought my first Valentine’s Day. Pal made me a card and treats with peanut butter. We had fun as I practiced “wait” with all kinds of treats out in front of me. I was always thankful when I heard the words “at ease” and then I quickly consumed the goodies.
I have been practicing “back,” “stand stay,” “under,” and “go through,” along with loose leash walking.
All in all it was an awesome month, and I can’t wait for another adventure with Pal and Buddy.
