Archie’s Adventures – April 2014

April 30, 2014 By blog-editor

Happy Spring everyone! I hope everyone has been enjoying the spring weather as much as I have. I’ve been able to lounge outside with Margaret while she does homework. We have also been going on extra long walks through the trails in College Park. Some days, when it’s really hot, Margaret even lets me take a quick dip in the water. At first, I was a little nervous, but once I realized it was just water, I started running and splashing around in it. One day, after our walk, we walked to Rita's. … [Read more...]

Hero Dogs Archie – March 2014

March 31, 2014 By blog-editor

My wish from last month came true: we got more snow! Even though I love the snow so much, I’m finally ready for some springtime weather. It’s great playing fetch and lounging outside. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I've been going to different parks on the weekends for hikes. I get pretty excited when I go to new outdoor places. There are so many animal smells like dogs, squirrels, and DEER! I practice “look” when I see the wild animals. Sometimes I look a second too long and Margaret … [Read more...]

Archie’s Journal – February 2014

February 28, 2014 By blog-editor

I've been out and about to many places this month, including the usual grocery store, Costco, pet stores, restaurants, and Target runs. Margaret took me to a new place this month called the movie theater. At first it was pretty exciting with all of the goodies on the ground, but I had to “leave it.” There was a man in a big motorized chair that sat next to me and I had to leave him alone too. Then I finally settled at Margaret’s feet, ate my Kongs, and feel asleep. Another new place I went this … [Read more...]

Archie’s January Adventures

January 31, 2014 By blog-editor

Happy New Year! Wow, January really seemed to fly by! Now that I am getting older, I have been going on longer trips with Margaret. I have made many trips to Walmart, Target, Costco, and the grocery store. I get excited sometimes, seeing food on the floor, but after Margaret tells me “leave it,” I snap back into focus. Another place that Margaret has been taking me is the mall. I don’t know why she likes to go there, but once we get there, all she does is look at clothes. She tries so many on … [Read more...]

Archie’s Journal – December 2013

January 1, 2014 By blog-editor

Merry Christmas! This has been an exciting month with Margaret. Some days I would wake up and there would be snow on the ground! I love the snow. This month has been full of outings. I have been introduced to elevators and they don’t bother me one bit. I also went on many outings including Costco (I’ve been to four different ones now!), the Columbia Mall, Busy Boys and Poets (again), and some more of Margaret’s classes. I am hoping next semester I will be able to go with Margaret to all of her … [Read more...]
