Sorry I haven’t written in awhile! Someone told me I am starting to get “teenage ears” where you have to tell me to do something a few times before I do it, like writing my blog.
August has been really fun! In the beginning of the month I got to stay with Margaret, Archie’s puppy raiser, and it was awesome!
I got to play with Archie and their other dog Lincoln at Deep Creek Lake. It was so cool – I got to swim in the lake. I had never swam before but now everyone says I’m addicted! I love swimming, especially when I get to play fetch and retrieve the ball from the water!
That wasn’t my last swimming adventure, either. I have been able to swim often – except during the last few times, I was in a pool. At first I was scared to jump in, because it’s definitely not like the lake, but after awhile I got the hang of it and now I’m a diving pro!
I am also learning to be a big brave dog, and I have been to lots of different places. One of the coolest places I went to was the Montgomery County Fair! I saw lots of cool things. The rides and the game section were a little too crazy for me, but the animals were lots of fun – and, oh, I can’t forget the cheese curds. They gave me some to reward me when I did some new and scary things, like putting my paws up on a tractor – man those things were big!
I had the opportunity to play a lot with Hero Dogs “Louie” and we have become the best of friends! I have also been hanging out with the big dogs a lot and I really enjoy it, especially when I go out to train with them. The big dogs, like Gracie and Mae, do some things that seem scary to do, but when I see them do it I know it’s okay. What can I say, I guess I look up to them a lot!
Well, it’s time to get back to my busy schedule. I can’t wait to tell you guys about all the adventures I will have next month!
