I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! I sure did – I even got some new toys! Things at the kennel have been very busy! I will try and fill you in on all that has happened but it’s a lot! So I’m sorry if I forget some stuff.
There is one thing that happened that I wish to forget! I had to go to the vet and spend the night there! I knew something was up as soon as I had to go for a car ride! See, unlike my dog friends who go out a lot on fun adventures, I normally stay back to protect the kennel. So I knew something was up and I was right! While I was there they gave me this stuff that made me fall asleep and when I woke up I had strings on my belly! I was so happy to see Becca and Grant the next day when they came to get me; I think Grant missed me too, because he gave me a big kiss right on top of the head!
When I got back to the kennel, I had to live in a big kennel with all of my supplies (including toys) for what seemed like forever! I did not like this one bit, and I tried to tell the kennel help as loudly as I could, but they told me it was for my own good and I needed to take it easy and recover! I did get to go over to the training room during the day and hang out with everyone and help with the dog training – I enjoyed that! But boy was I happy when I was allowed out of that silly box. I don’t know how the dogs stand it!
We also had some changes in the kennel. Franklin moved out to go live with someone! Don’t tell him but I am kind of glad he moved out; he was not very gentle with me! He does come to visit with his person every once and a while – he sure does seem to love her! We also just had a new black dog move into the kennel; her name is Annie! For some reason when she first met me she was afraid of me! I don’t get that one bit because I’m just a little cat after all. I made a deal with her that as long as she was nice to me and not too rough I would be kind to her. So far we are getting along just fine, and I even let her sniff me.
Now I am a little suspicious that we are going to be having even more dogs moving in soon because Becca and Jennifer have been busy rearranging the kennel. They put up two more kennels! I am not so sure how I feel about this, because it seems like it would be an awful lot of dogs to keep track of, and I am just one cat! But I guess if they are all as nice as Annie and the rest of my kennel dogs, then it’s all right.
Now, don’t you worry, even with all these changes going on I have been keeping up with my jobs! I help train the dogs; my new favorite thing to do is sneak attacks! When the dogs are working in the room I watch carefully and then run out and pounce them when they least expect it! I keep up my practice of bug catching – I have now learned to leave the bad smelling bugs alone for they are no fun to catch! I try and keep a close eye on my kennel dogs and would like to go everywhere with them to make sure they are staying out of trouble, but for some reason I am never allowed to go out in the yard with them. I try but I always get scooped up and placed back in the kennel – I don’t get the reason for this at all, so I just wait at the door until they come back inside.
Okay, well, that’s all for now. I will try and keep you posted if any more dogs move into the kennel. I will also remind them to update their blogs, because I know they have been saving lots of things to tell you, but they have been so busy! Talk to you all later!
