So… it’s been a long time since I have updated everyone about how the kennel dogs are doing. We have had many dogs moving in and out since I last wrote to everyone. They all have been pretty nice dogs and have not given me much trouble. Molly likes to chase me lots, but once I stop running she does no harm so I am not afraid of her at all. Actually, I like to sit just out of her reach and stare at her! This makes Molly so frustrated that she starts barking at me, and I think this is really funny.
Some of the new dogs that have moved in have actually been afraid of me. I don’t get this at all I am mostly very nice to dogs and never use my nails when I smack them. Also, they are WAY bigger than me. Eventually the dogs come around and don’t mind me. I am working hard on getting all these new dogs to understand how to treat cats. I have my paws full, I will tell you. I also hear soon there will be another new dog moving in!
Since spring has come I have noticed many things scurrying by the kennel doors. I like to peer out, and so far I have seen lots of bugs and toads. I really like to watch them. There were also what I believe to be a whole nest of baby birds. They were just out of view from what I could see from the door crack, so I never got a good look. I really, really wanted to go check out these baby birds and tried to get out several times but was never allowed. This was so unfair… how dare I be taunted by a whole nest of baby birds and not be allowed to see them. Don’t these people know I am a cat?!
This spring was also my Birthday! I am now three years old. As you can tell, I was not that impressed with my birthday hat. For my birthday one of the nice volunteers got me a new toy which I really like. Becca was sure to give me some extra pets and got me some tuna! I really wanted to eat the whole can all in one sitting but Becca told me it would give me a belly ache, so I got to have a little bit every day till it was gone.
Ok, well, like I said I have lots of dogs to teach and keep in line, so I must go now.
