February simply flew by, as time tends to do when you’re having fun. And if there’s one thing I know about, it’s having fun! Here are some of the exciting things I’ve been up to lately:
I went to visit my friends at Brookeville Animal Hospital this month for a vet checkup. Can you believe I’m now over 45 pounds?! I’m pretty excited that I’ve grown so much, because I can’t wait to be just like the older Hero Dogs… They’re so cool! I’ve been hanging out with Abe after puppy class on Friday nights, and he’s been showing me some of the ropes. Since he used to live with Molly and Ben, too, we like to shoot the breeze about the kids at school, our shaggy brother Tucker, and all the good things about being a Hero Dog. I’m not as big as Abe yet, but I’m going to keep working on growing up to be smart, strong, and hard working!
Speaking of Friday night puppy class – I just completed my first cycle of Puppy 2! I did really well. On our last night of class, we had Puppy Olympics to see how we did with all of the skills we’d been practicing for the last 6 weeks. I’m pretty competitive, so I brought my A-game, and I won 3 events! Molly was most proud of having the Best All-Around Stay. She thinks I did a great job of ignoring the distractions and just laying in the same spot for a long time. To be honest, I was so tired from all of the other games that it just felt good to rest… Anyway, check out the cool ribbon I got!
My favorite fun thing to do, though, is to head to the Hero Dogs field and play with my buddies. Tucker and I pile in the car and meet up with Hero Dog Dolley every weekend. Sometimes she brings her brother and sister Otto and Saki, which adds to the excitement. We also got to play with Hero Dogs York and Indie recently. I always have a blast and get nice and dog-tired.
Well, it’s lunch time, so I’m going to get going. See ya next month!
