‘Twas the month of Christmas and all through the house
there was singing with all, even the mouse.
The hustle bustle of shopping the mall
brought tons of silly joy for all.
Strangers I met, both short and tall,
it seemed to me, I liked them all.
Reunions, parties, family gatherings came,
socialization was the aim,
but I thought Buddy was going insane.
Santa asked me if I had been naughty or nice.
He told me he’d leave me a present on that special night.
Suddenly Buddy said, its time for the stair,
so we can take our Christmas picture there.
Then it happened, we all ran down
I saw the tree so tall and slightly round.
Yet it still touched the ground.
The tree so bright
I did not think it would be quite right
for me to sneak a tiny bite,
so Pal gave some kibble to nibble.
With a dozen stockings hung with care,
I ‘m glad that we were all there.
Pal gave me mine,
as I thought to myself, this is fine.
Then I saw it was just for me,
a bone and a chew toy perfectly.
Pal said, “Merry Christmas Munro, my big puppy.”
I looked at her and smiled with glee.
I can’t wait for my next adventure with Pal and Buddy.
