Hello! It’s been awhile since I’ve checked in, but brr! It’s been pawsatively chilly. As I’m getting older, M&J have been letting me tag along to do shopping more often. There is so much to see! Grocery shopping is one of my favorite errands, as I always get lots of treats if I stay close. I went clothes shopping, but that was quite boring. Lots of “down” and “wait”. But the best? We went to the dog store!!! I wandered around amazed! So many good things.
The gates of the promised land! 🐕👏🎉🐕 However, of all the fabulous things for sale, they picked shoes. Really, shoes? Despite my misgivings, they were both really excited. M helped me put them on, while J held me. But as soon as I stood up, the doubts came rushing back. I never understand why they always stop to put things on their paws before they take me outside. Normally, I humor them, but I’ve never wanted a pair. I tried taking them off like they do, by kicking my feet and using my mouth. But rather than coming to my aid, they kept asking me to come to them! It was like they couldn’t decide who I should walk with, so I ended up going back and forth, back and forth. Eventually I got the hang of it, but I was quite relieved when they took them off.
🙃👞🙃 In the morning, they strapped them back on. Imagine my surprise when we went outside and the ground was white! I walked around in my new boots, and tasted the ‘snow’ as they called it. My boots got very wet. I went out to get busy later, and M insisted on carrying me over “salt”. Not sure what that was about, but I did overhear her saying something about “it being hard on my paws”. It felt just like gravel, but M didn’t really appreciate me sniffing around, so I let it go.
❄️🌧☃️❄️ My commands are really coming along. M says its because I went to stay with the Hero Dogs Executive Director for a week or two. But I love kibbles so much. I’m learning all the things I can do to earn treats. I just want them all! Until next time ~
