July was a very hot month! I have been spending a lot of time swimming in the pool with Jake.  

Marley, Jake, and I all ride in Robin’s car to run errands. Robin said she hopes this will help me get over my fear of riding in the car. It’s nice having the big dogs with me.

I have puppy class with Franklin (my golden friend in the above picture). This month we each got a rope. It is red, white, and blue. Robin asks me to ‘Take it’ and then ‘Pull’.  The rope is getting me ready to start opening doors and getting me use to taking things with my mouth.

Robin and I are working on climbing stairs and walking with shopping carts. I am practicing backing up too. Oh, I am pretty good at ‘Leave it’, but not so much when I see a piece of old chewed up gum on the ground. It doesn’t make Robin happy when I try and pick it up, but the flavor is awful tasty!

I discovered watermelon this month. Yummy! Robin puts it in the freezer and when we get in from a long walk, I get a piece of it, but only if I sit nicely.
