Well it sure is all new.
Got to my new home, can’t remember getting here I slept the whole way. I ran around some in the house, but there is an old curmudgeon of a dog who lives here and he really doesn’t want to play – just growls at me and sometimes barks- NOT NICE- but I’ll keep trying ‘cause I know that I am too cute to resist.
P (Priscilla) and J (Joe) are OK but they haven’t figured out my cues quite yet- I’ll work on them. There are a lot of stairs- in and out of the house, and up to my kennel and back down. Coming down is a little scary- looks steep but once I get going it gets easier- P just walks down and if I want to have any fun I need to just follow. I managed the stairs out back, they were weird, no backs to them just open space so I felt nervous at first but – boy I’m good- I mastered them after the first try.
There are a lot of toys, I know they belong to the old curmudgeon as that’s who they smell like, but he doesn’t seem to care if I play with them. It is great though to have some of my favorite lady bugs with me.
P and I went to PayPals to get food for Ozzie (the curmudgeon)- SO many smells and so much attention- that was pretty exhausting, but fun- not scary at all- and the stairs there were covered in rubber so not slippery- easy peasey!
The one pretty overwhelming time was meeting the grandkids- They were so excited that I got a little anxious- 3 of them running around, loud and all wanting to hold me- luckily P came to my rescue- one at a time they were fun and I played a lot- but all three were too many.
Since I dictated this, so much has happened- every day seems pretty full- yesterday we went to the great nieces soccer tournament in Virginia. That was so much fun and all the people and children didn’t bother me at all, I got so much attention it was wonderful, but it gave me a good sleep on the way home. P and I are working on learning to lie down, to wait (patience sure is hard), to pay attention on walks- but there are so many things to explore. Much more fun to play!
