Hi Everybody! Hero Dogs Sadie Bug the Lady Bug checking in for the first time in 2018! I’m very excited about my next year of training, everyone I meet says I’m soooo smart! I also love to work for those yummy kibble treats!
I’m hoping Mrs. P and Mr. J are doing well. I miss them but I’m also having a blast with my new raiser family – Megan and Mr. Jim. I also have two doggie sisters now- Willow and Pumpkin. In the last two weeks we have been getting to know one another and I’ve been settling into my new raiser home.
Oh! Guess what! My new raiser Mom, Megan had so much confidence in me that we got to go out together for many public trips! We started at Wal-Mart, then did the super tricky grocery store, then we went to 2 doctor’s offices! I did soooo good! I walked properly on my leash, I kept eye contact with Mr. Jim and Megan in the stores and got lots of compliments and smiles!
I’m working on staying settled and not crying for attention at the doctor’s office. Sitting still and NOT working is the most challenging thing for me. My raiser Mom says not to worry because I’m only 5 months old and when I grow up, I’ll get more patience. I believe her because I’m very smart and eager to please.
My favorite past-time is napping by the way, I hear it makes me grow too!
My biggest joy these two weeks was when I got to visit the hospital ER to cheer up Mr. Jim when he got very sick and had to go away in an ambulance. Mr. Jim got extra attention from all the nurses and doctors because they wanted to meet me too. I did such a good job! I can’t wait to join my older Hero Dogs pals at GW Hospital very soon.
