Every month is full of firsts when you’re a puppy!
I had lots of fun in December playing with my friends Hero Dogs Nick and Hero Dogs Zeke and Hero Dogs Tahoe. I also got to see Hero Dogs Hunter, Kirby, Ashley, Nick, and Sadie at Puppy Kindergarten 2. Also, lots of Hero Dogs met up in Frederick for some work at the library and then dinner at Opa. I didn’t get to eat anything and it was really hard to stay quiet under the table even with Jennifer’s help. I’m working at being more patient. It’s hard when a dog just wants to stay busy and keep working!
Gary and Meaghan took me to lots of fun places. I went for my longest hike ever at Mount Sugarloaf (more than 6 miles!). It didn’t tire me out a bit. I also went for my longest car ride ever when we went to Philadelphia which. was. amazing. The city was so busy and full of sounds and new smells and people and dogs and birds oh, and even more smells. We walked around a lot and saw Benjamin Franklin’s house, the Liberty Bell, and lots of other big buildings. I missed having easy access to grass but we managed. Gary and Meaghan both said I did super well listening to them when we were in line. It feels good to wear my vest and work. I did lots of shopping and errands at the usual places (people at the library, CVS, Mount Airy Liquors, and the hardware store all recognize me!) and I went to this gigantic store called Ikea. It was huge.
I’m growing up fast and needed a new collar and a new harness. Now I’ve got the full sized ones and they look great because I know how to wear them with style. I’m still learning lots of new things and getting better and better at leaving the cat alone (even though I know he wants to play with me, Gary and Meaghan thinks he doesn’t) and hanging out under the table or on the living room floor. Looking forward to 2018 and Big Dog class every week!
