April showers are suppose to bring May flowers, but this month started with rain everyday. To top off the dreary weather, it was also finals week. Archie and I exercised inside everyday, running up and down the stairs, playing fetch. I also finished my obedience class. Throughout the 6 weeks of class, the instructors kept track of each dogs points during our class games. It turns out that Margaret and I got first place overall! We won a hula hoop and I was able to pick out a new toy. In June I will start obedience class again and also participate in a Rally class!
After finals week, I visited Deep Creek Lake. I played fetch in the water but always made sure to only go as far in the water as I could stand. From Deep Creek, I headed back to Maryland to stay with Honor’s puppy raiser, Robin, for a few weeks because Margaret traveled to Haiti.
While I stayed with Robin, I attended events to represent Hero Dogs including the Mis-Maryland Celtic Festival, the Laytonsville Parade, and the Westminster Memorial Day parade. At the Laytonsville Parade I met an officer who also owns a toller! Over the month, I also went on errands with Robin to grocery store, Home Depot, Target. One day I went to Mrs. Jennifer’s field and played with HD Stella. During our daily walks, sometimes we walked to a locate Elementary school to play at the playground. I loved to slide down the slide! Over the month I’ve been improving my skills with Robin and practicing barking less in the house. In June I will be heading back to Wheeling for more PT classes!
