Sadie the Lady Bug here checking in at 7 months old and 43 pounds! I am growing bigger and stronger every day. I am now tall enough that my foster sister, Pumpkin, can walk underneath me like I’m a bridge! I also have all my big girl teeth now.
My big news is that I got a job! I now accompany my Raiser Mom to work a few days a week. I have moved some toys and a comfy “place” into an office there. Everyone has been scheduling meetings with me and I think I’m pretty popular. I contributed to a conference call that went long on my second day by letting out a short protest cry, everyone seemed to think that was pretty funny. My Raiser Mom says I do great in meetings if they don’t last more than an hour, but that’s okay for my first week on the job! I’m working hard on sitting quietly in new places for longer periods all the time.
In Big Dog Class I am learning to “stand and wait” for longer durations of time and with distractions. I also just started to learn the difference between “heel” and “side” this week. I love going to school and seeing my other Hero Dog pals and learn new skills. Raiser Mom says I work so hard at school that I completely pass out and snore loudly the whole drive home.
I took a trip to Pennsylvania this month and helped my Raiser Mom feel better at a memorials service for her Dad. Lots of people that came told me that I helped them feel better that day and made them smile through their tears, especially my Raiser Mom.
Until next month, Sadie Bug the Lady Bug
