Spring is here and there are flowers and new smells everywhere. I love to see the birds and ducks and squirrels active on the trails. Gary makes sure to I get to LOOK at all of them too!
I also think that the cat and I are really getting along well. He definitely likes all the attention I give him and sometimes he even taps me on the nose with his claws when I lick him so I know he likes it!
I also got to go to the University of Maryland’s Canine Perception Language Lab. They turned the lights off and made noises behind the walls. Sometimes they said my name and sometimes they didn’t. I love humans but they can be a little mystifying can’t they!?
I went to the Ravens Roost Wine and Beer Festival with Hero Dogs Stella and little Hero Dogs Ernie. There were lots of people and I had to work really hard to LEAVE the food on the ground… There was a lot of really interesting food on the ground too!
Hero Dogs class is super fun and we’re learning and doing lots of new things all the time like how to FOLLOW Gary and go UNDER things and help TAKE and DROP. We even practiced what it’s like to ride the metro (George took me on the Metro already so I did great; thanks George!). I love to practice my skills and can’t wait until I get to be a service dog for one of America’s heroes.
At the end of the month, we had the Great Puppy Swap. I got to go to see Tim and Cynthia and they did all kinds of fun things with me.
I’ve heard that April showers bring May flowers so I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next.
