Hazel here. Sorry for being “MIA” on my blog page. I have a new Mom and it has been very busy. I have had a lot of adventures that I need to tell you about.
I met my new mom-to-be and went home with her. I was good on the car ride home. Once we got home, Mom had the best toy ever, just for me. A Malamute chew toy!!! Her name is Rana and she is 80 pounds. Rana is the best. We like to wrestle in the house so Mom had to move all sorts of things out of the sun room.

We went to puppy class and it was nice to see my puppy friends. Everyone at Hero Dogs wanted to know if Mom was going to raise me. Mom was not sure, but how could she refuse, I am so awesome. Mom was worried about taking me to work at the National Institutes of Health.

Mom is still teleworking so we have not gone to the office yet, but we did go to Costco to get Rana’s meds. It took awhile to get to out of the parking lot, there was so much to see. Costco was a piece of cake. We walked to the service desk and got Mom a temporary pass and then to the pharmacy. People were very interested in me and told me I am beautiful.

Still have not gone to the office, but we did go to the squash courts at Potomac Squash Club. It took a long time to go down the open stairs to get to the courts. It was scary, but Mom had boiled chicken and she sat on the step with only a dog wide space between her and the wall. We went down one step at a time (all 10 steps). We watched squash for about 10 minutes and said hi to people. It took along time to go up the steps but mom brought lots of boiled chicken. It was good to get home and see Rana.
Week of the 23rd
We finally went to the office. I was awesome. Everyone one there loves me, well almost everyone… who would think there are non dog lovers in the world. I was very good and did not make any noise… well I did yawn during staff meeting and then Dr Narva said “excuse me that was my stomach”. It was a very long staff meeting but most people did not know I was under the table. Pretty good, huh! Mom has a specially nesting place for me in her office.
We have gone to lots of places, Mom and me. We have been to Homedepot twice, to a small grocery store 4 times, and Pet Value. Mom got her hair cut and we have been back to the squash club. The stairs are not scary anymore. In fact I know that I can lie on my mat and watch Mom play squash through the glass wall. I am tethered but, Mom serviously, it is not necessary.

I had a long weekend with Mom and a gazillion children at a junior squash tournement. It was at the Potomac Squash Club, so I was comfortable being there even with all the children. It was good that Mom has been working on the “go thru” command. We needed it to get thru the crowds. There was one child that really really liked me.
That’s it for now
